I do a lot of shopping on eBay and Google Shopping for my expensive hair and skin product.. thank GOD, because my beauty budget does NOT afford me the luxuries I purchase there for the most part if I had gone straight to the source. I also go to the normal Walmart or Stop & Shop if needed for the basics..

Keep in mind: You aren’t going to get the styling tips you’d normally receive from a proper stylist if you do purchase all this stuff. Think first about finding a salon that can walk you through using the products before you go and make a purchase!

First of all, back to basics with Burt’s Bees Spearmint & Lime body wash. It’s really for body, face, hair, etc. and it clears out allll of those nasty impurities. Here’s a basic Google Shopping link for you to peruse some product and pricing. Not expensive at all.. you can get it for under $5 online. Pretty sure it’s name got changed to “Burt’s Bees Outdoor All-in-One Wash. Unfortunately, this is not travel sized.. it’s a 4oz bottle.. so you’re going to have to get a travel sized one to empty some into if you’re flying, but this thing deep cleans you. AG Control Shampoo: I know as well as all of you that we get uber dandruffy around this time of year when we put tons of product in our hair to keep it from frizzing up or wilting. You should only use this once a week as it has an active in it (Zinc Pyridinethione), but it’s pretty darn potent.

L’ANZA TRAUMA TREATMENT: This is by far my FAVE product. I use it as a leave in cocktailed with styling product. It’s intended to be just a leave-in conditioner, but it’s much, much more. Put a pump of this in your color before applying and it will fill in all those open cuticles and give you a smoother color job. I also use it as a rinse out conditioner. It’s like a treatment in your shower. Get a liter. If you’re really into keeping your color in check for up to an extra 100% longer, trust me and get the shampoo. It’s on my list!

Alfaparf Semi Di Lino: For those days where you need real diamond dust in your hair. Smells fabulous, made for healthy hair. If your hair is dry/porous/not the best, I’d rub in some Trauma with it as well. It luminates your hair nicely but it doesn’t nourish it. Alfaparf also has this AMAZING cristalli liquid as well but that’s more styling product and eventually I’ll get to that too Here’s a bunch of fun diamondy stuff from their line.

Barbasol: This is amazing stuff, ladies. Know how all those gels you’re getting turn into foam on your skin? My derma told me that this is a chemical reaction happening and may have been a reason for my eczema. I have since cleared it but you have to look @ all the chemicals you put on your skin. Barbasol comes out a cream. Works great with my Quattro razor. I think it goes for 99c @ Walmart. No link needed here.

MURAD: This is my newest fun stuff. I love trying out new product but I was tipped off on the Murad Pom Vitalic line from a few friends in the beauty industry. This stuff clears my skin like whoa. Try it over Proactiv. It’s a little pricey, but I get mine off eBay at Skincare Avenue and I can swing the $25 for my face wash (like $45 at a salon). The Energizing Pomegranate Moisturizer SPF 15 is probably the most $$ out of the line. Their lip balm is DEVINE. I was also told to try the T Zone stuff from the same line but they don’t have it on SCA. Let me know if you have any experience with it! If you like Dermalogica, they’ve got that too :-p

Blistex. Another <$2 expenditure. Don’t crack your lipsJust do it and keep one in your purse or somewhere not so hot. These things are sloppy when they melt!

Dove. Keeps you clean Like a buck.

Schick Quattro: Has a few little wires over the actual blades so it doesn’t cut me when I shave!! <3 The only bad thing is that the replacement cartridges are like $10 for 4. Boo that.
