My Fave Bathtub Beauty Picks for the Summer of 20kris10

I do a lot of shopping on eBay and Google Shopping for my expensive hair and skin product.. thank GOD, because my beauty budget does NOT afford me the luxuries I purchase there for the most part if I had gone straight to the source.  I also go to the normal Walmart or Stop & Shop if needed for the basics.. Keep in mind:  You aren’t going to get the styling tips you’d normally receive from a proper stylist if you do purchase all this stuff.  Think first about finding a salon that can walk you through using the products before you go and make a purchase! First of all, back to basics with Burt’s Bees Spearmint & Lime body wash.  It’s really for body, face, hair, etc. and it clears out allll of those nasty impurities....

5/14/10 Out on the town: ArtBar and Brandon Keith Hair

I think I spent $6 last night.  On tips. First of all; HUUUUUGE thanks to CitySearch Christine (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) for the invite to the ArtBar patio opening last night.  They had openbar yumyums sponsored by Bacardi, Sam Adams and Grey Goose and I helped myself to a few glasses of super oakey house chardonnay.  There were also tons of finger treats being passed around including lobster rolls (super yum), fried clam rolls, beet teases, SPICY wings, chocolate and berry desserts, gazpacho and more.. I think there was also an olive bar on a large table in the middle of the outdoors crowd but I’m not a big fan of olives so I passed. Two thumbs up.  Nice waterfront location and the crowd had all the quintessential Cambridge folk.  The geeks,...

I got my hair did, courtesy of CitySearch Boston

I love Christine from CitySearch.  She rocks my world.  Especially when I write a fun list and get to get my hair colored for FREE.  At a salon on Boylston… well it wasn’t exactly free, I did leave a generous tip; but come ON, it’s not that bad when you get a color job from a Boylston hairdresser First of all, I have to tell you I got my hair cut a few days beforehand by my stylist, Erez.  He has a company: 4EG Hair Systems, LLC but he already let me know he didn’t want to be famous, so I shall say no more.. only post a few “before color” photos after my Tuesday appointment with him.. So I got this cute Toni & Guy cut and I went up to NH to tap some maple tree a$.  Good stuff, see? Thursday the 8th rolls around...

I’m switching to soy milk b/c Jeremy Piven has man boobs

Hey, it worked for him…

This must have been invented by a man

So I’m home today since I’m momentarily unemployed, and I stumble upon a few infomercials.  After watching 1/2 hour of P90X, I figured I’d just try to download it from Limewire later (is that bad?).  I unfortunately then found out that a lot of channels have infomercials all morning and all I wanted to do after watching that P90X thing was move my roommate’s elliptical machine out of her room and watch TV and work out on it.  Not so easy to have that sort of attention span if all you can watch is infomercials.  But then, I found MTV.. At least Cribs was on. Unfortunately, they too were still running mini infomercials but one product that really stuck out to me was called Shake Weight.  If you go to the website, you have to watch...

My $100 Massage+Facial

So it was Saturday night, and I had the conundrum:  Should I go out tonight and spend my $millions, then plan on spending another $mint on the Patriots game Sunday.. or should I call up my BFF and ask him where he goes to get a cheap massage in Chinatown.. I chose the latter (thankfully). I paid $100 + tip.. which ended up being $120 altogether for a HARDCORE hour-long shiatsu massage (she really kneaded into my a$$) and a 40-minute facial with full extractions.  You try finding a deal better than that in Boston.  You’re welcome to call her and get the same deal but you gotta mention my name.. since I can make me some free massages/facials/waxing if I want to.  I think anybody who wants to make this agreement with her, can.  Here’s her info!...
